Olde Good Things in Chelsea is definitely worth checking out. On 24th Street btw 6th & 7th Avenues.

This is definitely a place to find hidden treasures.
It's somewhat famous for handcrafting mirrors using old tin ceiling tiles ceiling tiles. They use the tiles for the frames and also sell simple panels. Like these:
